Construction, Roofer, Volunteer needed by Nechama Jewish Response To Disaster (Hurricane Ike Deployment Operations)

Hurricane Ike Deployment Starting October 5th

NECHAMA Volunteers --

Seth Gardner, Nechama Director of Operations, returned Saturday from investigating the damage from Hurricane Ike and NECHAMA has decided to deploy in response. We will be launching a month-long deployment to Orange County in SE Texas, working mostly in the towns of Orange and Bridge City. As we have done in our previous deployments to New Orleans, we will be partnering with Operation Blessing, who will again be providing food and lodging for our teams.

We will be running week long deployments, with volunteers arriving on Sunday and departing on either Friday or Saturday morning.

The weeks of deployment will be:

Week 1: October 5th - 10th/11th (Because Oct. 9th is Yom Kippur, we will NOT be working that day)

Week 2: October 12th - 17th/18th

Week 3: October 19th - 24th/25th

Week 4: October 26th - 31st/Nov 1st
