Washington County Sheriff’s Posse can care for animals overnight, but owners must provide daily care. --- The Washington County Fairgrounds/Fair Complex/Westside Commons in Hillsboro, is accepting animals from those forced to evacuate from the Chehalem Mountain Bald Peak Fire and the Powerline Fire. The Washington County Sheriff’s Posse has offered to care for the animals overnight if the owners cannot stay on site due to trying to save their homes, but the owners still must come by daily to provide care.
