This year, Terrebonne and Lafourche residents who need parish help to evacuate will be going to a shelter in Monroe and will be allowed to bring their pets with them. The return of residents -- along with area properties and perimeter fencing wrecked in storms -- promises a large influx of rescues and surrenders. Volunteers can help counsel residents and urge them to care for their own animals, as we provide kenneling, crates and food.
