FEMA opened a Disaster Recovery Center at Centerville Church of Christ on Sunday to assist victims with questions, applying for loans and obtaining other resources to rebuild from the flood. The center will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until further notice.
Assistance is provided to the needy in the form of food, clothing, bedding, and fuel. The clothing room at the Outreach Center on East Swan Street is open each Wednesday morning at 7:00a.m.. Ladies of the church meet on Wednesday to sew and quilt for others, with items shipped to many parts of the world. The food pantry is always stocked full. Clothing requests are filled annually for more than 6,000 persons. Support groups meet regularly in our facilities. Meals-on-Wheels is delivered each Wednesday.
