notes: 2010 Oil Spill Pensacola/Tallahassee: Three case management sites in four regional offices (Pensacola, Ft. Walton, Panama City, Tallahassee) are operating. CC/USA and CC/PT completed a needs and vulnerable populations assessment. The services being provided are case management, food provision, direct services related to utilities/rent/mortgage and medical needs, and mental health assessments and counseling. Case management services have revealed increased requests for mental health counseling surrounding domestic violence. Catholic Charities regional offices have experienced a 24% increase in Emergency Assistance and an 8% increase in Food Assistance in the month of May. The regional offices are anticipating further increases in services throughout its offices and have asked local partner agencies for additional help. Needs Requested by Catholic Charities: 1) Funds to hire case managers, translators and support staff. 2) Funds to provide direct assistance (direct service dollars). 3) Cash cards for groceries, fuel, adult and baby needs. ======= UPCOMING EVENTS: We welcome opportunities to collaborate with others.
