It's located at 1968 U.S. Hwy 31 South in Athens. 2,500 families in Limestone County applied for some type of assistance after April's storms, 800 of those families were directly hit by a tornado. Starting in June the doors to the disaster recovery warehouse will open to those in need, but there is still a great need for help. Volunteer Coordinator Angela McLin shared some of the items they need. "Some of the items that are really needed are new bedding, new bath towels because there is not enough of those items being donated," said McLin. There is a lot of space to fill with items in the warehouse. Right now there are plenty of clothes. "We have an overabundance of used clothing right now," said McLin.
