THE COMMUNITY CENTER OF ST. BERNARD HAS AN OPENING FOR A
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
A FULL-TIME OFFICE MANAGER / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT is currently
needed to fulfill the following duties of this dynamic start-up
organization:
Administrative Support – The Office Manager will work
directly with the Executive
Director to fulfill the requirements of this quickly developing
organization. This may include but is not limited to:
support with grant writing, letter writing, website management,
newsletter production, brochure production, mailings, presentations and
phone reception.
Volunteer Management – The Administrative Assistant will help
coordination and document the work of short-term and long-term volunteers
who come from all over the nation to help.
Office management including administrative assistance.
The OFFICE MANAGER / Administrative Assistant will track start-up
expenses and incoming donations for the organization and bookkeeping.
WORK WEEK: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Ideal candidates will be flexible
and able go-the-extra- mile when necessary.
Position will begin immediately! !!
RE-NUMERATION: At this time the position is volunteer but there is the strong possibility of the position becoming funded .
An evening meal is provided free of charge, shared with the community
every Tuesday followed by a family movie.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal candidates should have administrative experience
in the nonprofit sector. We will entertain the possibility of a college
intern.
Applicants should have excellent computer skills, communication skills,
record keeping skills
and flexibility. A strong desire to help create a nurturing community
atmosphere is absolutely essential.

The Community Center of St. Bernard Parish is a grassroots, nonprofit organization that is
committed to creating a vital community space for residents and volunteers who are working
together to rebuild the Parish, post-Katrina.
A FULL-TIME OFFICE MANAGER / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT is currently needed to fulfill the
following duties of this dynamic start-up organization:
Administrative Support – The Administrative Assistant will work directly with the Executive
Director to fulfill the requirements of this quickly developing organization. This may include:
