While we are profoundly grateful for every person who has come to help in these past months, now, after assessing the changing nature of the work to be done and desiring to make sure the resources given to this ministry are well used, and that volunteers are able to accomplish meaningful work during their time here, the Board of Directors adopted the following policy: “Any Groups coming to work with Triangle of Hope Ministries must consist of team members who are skilled or semi-skilled in the types of construction that is necessary to rebuild the homes in this city. The groups need to be comprised of adults, older youth and/or family groups. Each group must have at least one skilled person for every 4 to 5 people in the group.” This decision is based solely on the fact that “the primary Mission of this Ministry has and will continue to be the Rebuilding of Homes, Lives and Hope in Bogalusa and Washington Parish.” The work that remains will require skilled and semi-skilled laborers.
