notes: Just to let you know that we will be holding an intensive SCI workshop in Port au Prince on issues surrounding SCI care in hospital, clinic and the community. We will be aiming to hold the workshop on the Wed/Thur (May 4/5) or the Thur/Friday (May 5/6). The goal is a two-day conference with some breakout workshops, for health workers (Therapists, social workers, MDs, medical students, nurses, peer mentors) who are currently working at sites providing care to patients with SCI. Topics will include; Overview of SCI, wound care, Pain Managment, ASIA scoring, Hand Therapy, Wheelchairs/Seating, Transfers and ADL training, Bowel and Bladder Care, Sexuality and Reproduction, Bracing.... Please would you let me know of any specific training issues you would like covered (if not included above). I will also need to know numbers of students so that I can arrange a suitable venue in Port au Prince. Please pass this information on to others whom you think may be interested.
