Alex Mercedes, Administrator for TCCI urgently needs a car ("I'll take any car, even an old beater car someone wants to donate"). The public transportation in the Gulfport area is VERY slowly coming back but does not support consistent public travel nor are they equipped w/bike racks. It's even hard to get a Taxi and the costs are high. This is NOT a pedestrian friendly community. If you walk, there are no sidewalks and between the storm damage and no public walkways it's dangerous to be a pedestrian as you must walk right next to busy highways and through ditches to get from one place to another. Most people get around on bikes which is just as dangerous (or moreso) as being a pedestrian.
Spoke to Alex Mercedes/Administrator of TCCI
