Benefiting the women of the Downtown Women’s Center!

Since 1978 the Downtown Women's Center on Los Angeles' Skid Row has been the warm, friendly homelike environment where homeless and formerly homeless women can come for needed services, social support and community. (Learn more about us at www.dwcweb.org)

How it works:
Help cook a meal to serve as lunch the next day in DWC’s Day Center. We’ll provide the recipe and guidance in cooking for a crowd! By bringing some of the needed ingredients for the meal you’ll help defray the Center’s food costs and see exactly where your donation goes. No regular attendance is required—you can simply sign up for the meetings that work for your schedule!

Get Involved…
How: Vanessa, the Volunteer Department Assitant, sends out an e-mail “Ingredient Bulletin” a week in advance to each Cooking Club meeting with needed ingredients. No advance sign-ups are taken… just sign-up when you receive the e-mail.

When: We meet as often as possible—usually on Tues., Weds., or Thurs. nights, 6:30pm-8:30pm.
