Spiritual Mentoring Volunteer

Position Description
Volunteer will forge a relationship with a resident and help her or him foster spiritual growth in a one-on-one setting.

Responsibilities may include
-Develop consistent relationship with client.
-Offer prayer, bible study, encouragement, and friendship.
-Coach resident in the basics of Christian faith.

Benefits
This opportunity allows volunteers to initiate and develop a relationship with someone who is new to the Christian faith and to provide her or him with support and guidance during their spiritual development.

Qualifications
Volunteer must demonstrate commitment to spiritual development and desire to help others grow in their own faith. Must complete 4 hour mentoring orientation.

Commitment
Weekly commitment for duration of several months.

Hours
1 to 2 hour weekly commitment, time flexible.
