OPERATION USA RESPONDS TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FIRES

Operation USA's initial and immediate response to the California wildfires included donations of 10,000 N-95 Masks (disposable particulate respirators) to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department and 10,000 N-95 Masks, 960 pairs of heavy leather work gloves and 1000 pairs of safety goggles to be distributed to migrant farm workers throughout the heavily affected San Diego county.

Operation USA is continuing to assess additional needs in rural areas where the basic infrastructure of electricity, water and farmland has been heavily damaged and where recovery will take a substantial amount of time. We work through local nonprofit organizations in the affected counties.

Your contributions are still needed. Donations can be made by credit card by calling (800) 678-7255 or by going online at www.opusa.org and specifying that your donation is for the victims of the California wildfires.

If companies would like to donate bulk quantities of appropriate relief supplies, contact Neil Frame at 800-678-7255 or by e-mail at nframe@opusa.org.
