Notes:
In the fall, Mexico experienced one of the worst natural disasters in its history. Heavy rains flooded three rivers surrounding the town of Villahermosa in the southern state of Tabasco forcing hundreds of thousands of people from their homes. Normally 34% of the state lies below water, but with the floods now 70% of the area is under water. According to officials in the area, more than 1 million people have been affected by the floods.
