Drivers, Local Deliveries, Volunteers needed by Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana

notes: Drivers Volunteers are needed to pick up donations from local grocery stores. Who? Volunteers with a Class D driver's license (in order to drive our cargo van) OR Volunteers willing to use their own vehicle (must be able to accommodate 4 to 6 ice chests). Volunteers must be 18 years of age and have a clean driving record. When? Ongoing - volunteers must commit to 1-2 days per week (5-6 hours a week) -> Drivers Volunteers are needed to pick up donations from local grocery stores. Who? Volunteers with a Class D driver's license (in order to drive our cargo van) OR Volunteers willing to use their own vehicle (must be able to accommodate 4 to 6 ice chests). Volunteers must be 18 years of age and have a clean driving record. When? Ongoing - volunteers must commit to 1-2 days per week (5-6 hours a week) Food Delivery Volunteers are needed to drop off fresh produce to agencies served by SHFB. Who? Volunteers willing to use their own vehicle. Vehicle must be able to accommodate approx. 25 boxes (van, station wagon, SUV, pick-up truck) Volunteers must be 18 years of age and have a clean driving record. When? Ongoing – volunteers able to commit to 2-4 hours a week.
