Refugee/Resettlement, Volunteer needed by Caritas of Austin

Coach and mentor refugees moving towards self-sufficiency, assist with interpretation and acculturation activities, or prepare an apartment for refugee arrival.

Coach and mentor newly-arrived refugees fleeing persecution in their home countries as they transition towards self-sufficiency in their new home.
Provide interpretation or acculturation activities in areas relating to finance, employment, transportation, and grocery shopping for refugees.
Transform apartments into a welcoming home for arriving refugees.
Time Commitment: 2-5 hours a week
Training is offered on a flexible schedule.
