notes: UPDATE 4/24/07 Still has multiple displaced Katrina students. Greatly in need of digital camera's. Most students are inner city and Katrina kids do not have any photo's because of the storm. Digital cameras are used to enter competitions and right now they only have 4 total. 12 more minimum 5 megapixel cameras would serve this art program immensely. Brenda Lauw is a very passionate and dedicated teacher, working with students with a lot of challenges, who reaches deep into her own pockets and has to constantly write grants (but doesn't get much response). Grant leads would be very much appreciated as well as ongoing support with supplies and donations. She is running very low on sketch paper, drawing paper and artist supplies and their school just doesn't have the budget to keep the program going. She was only recently able to take children on their first field trip and she would love to do more field trips in the future.
