6/19/08 LTel - Per Pastor Kathy Moore, they can accept a few more folks and pets but are about at their max capacity. Evacuee's are sleeping on air mattresses (they don't have a sanctuary and only a small kitchen). Restaurants, church members and the community have been feeding shelter residents without an issue. They have plenty of supplies. Pets are being crated. They had a Great Dane come in today!

Pastor Kathy Moore advised on 6/19/08 that they have 8 acres of property and are open to providing this space for recovery operations. Whether that be a volunteer camp or some sort of storage for supplies, headquarters, etc. Whatever is needed they will do their best to accomodate.
I referred Jeff at Calvary Chapel Iowa to Pastor Kathy to discuss the possibility of using the land to set up a volunteer camp:

Who knows if it will work out. Christians and Unity types don't always get along (well the Unity folks have no issues but Christians tend to steer clear of Unity per my on the ground contact).
The point of posting the last paragraph is just to note that it might be more suitable to set Unity up with a non secular group. -> Removed old notes/avails 7/18/08 LTel:
