Tornado warnings have been in effect for much of the viewing area, with the strongest storms moving through Davidson, Forsyth, Guilford and Rockingham Counties. A tornado was confirmed near Linwood in Davidson County. Davidson County EMS confirmed that a tornado damaged many homes at the Chestnut Grove trailer park off Clark Road. Other possible tornadoes were reported in High Point, Greensboro, Tyro, Thomasville, and parts of southeast Forsyth County. Strong storms have been moving from the southwest most of the afternoon and evening, and storms will continue through the night.
