Bayou Grace Community Services (BGCS) implements outreach, services and advocacy that address the community's most immediate needs, giving them opportunity and renewed strength to advocate and work towards the environmental health of their community. Strategic services such as Construction Services, the Adult Literacy Program and Community Wellness Outreach enables BGCS to form long-term relationships with community members who are recovering, often, from repetitive states of recovery. BGCS works to connect these community members with continued advocacy and outreach opportunities within and outside of the community, thus building a strong, positive untied voice that is empowered and mobilized.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Case Management: Is available (If Bayou Grace cannot help they are partnered with and will refer you to TRAC)
Bayou Grace is currently out in the field surveying and conducting door-to-door assessment & reaching out to current/past clients as well as new clients in need as a result of Hurricane Gustav and Ike.
They been coordinating disaster relief supplies, rescuing stranded residents in the levee floods, getting food to hungry school children and reaching out to the nation for the much needed supplies that are just not coming into to these communities with urgent needs (and much more).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Deliveries of donated supplies should be coordinated with Natalie Bergeron at Bayou Grace. She can be reached at:
985-217-7389 or 985-860-4377
Please do not mail/ship items to this address without confirming where it should go. This community took on 8 foot of water in many spots and the waters are still receding. You will need to pre-determine at the time of shipping which address any mailed packages with Natalie.
If you are bringing in any trucks of supplies, this should also be coordinated with Natalie (see contact info above) and volunteers will be organized to receive it at a pre-determined time/day at:

-> 9/12/08 LTel: Per Danny with Bayou Grace they are on mandatory evac.
