Sunday evening in Lafourche Parish, New Orleans-based Besh Restaurant Group answered the governor's call and served meals to residents at the Raceland Recreation Center.
Besh Restaurant Group's General Manager Octavio Mantilla said the group expected to serve nearly 20,000 meals over a two-day stretch.
Beyond that, "if the residents need us to keep cooking then we will," Besh said.
