The EOC advised citizens to secure property and valuables and move themselves, their families and pets away from the flood zone. Because the Nazarene church is in one of Puyallup's flood zones, the EOC has asked they transfer their people to Bethany Baptist Church on South Hill. JANUARY 7, 2009 UPDATES 11:00 p.m. -The Puyallup EOC is working with the State and Pierce County EOCs on a plan to reroute traffic from River Road if flooding makes it necessary to close the road. There has been no decision to do so, but the WSDOT and the City of Puyallup want to be prepared.
