Mission: Owsley County Outreach Corporation began in January 2007 to alleviate hunger in Owsley County, (third (3nd) poorest County in the United States of America in school age children on weekends

Thrift Store

Located in Booneville, Kentucky on Main Street. Our NEW thrift store sells clothing, shoes and housewares to support our food ministry and backpack program. Clothing for a few dollars really helps local folks clothe their entire family. It is the ONLY location inside of a 50 mile radius to shop for inexpensive clothing.

All the people of Northern KY. Thank you for your donations.

Backpack Ministry

The Backpack programs sends filled backpacks home each weekend with seven easily pre-pared meals and two to three snacks with the children. These children have been identified by teachers and school Resource Center personnel as having little or no food from Friday’s school lunch until breakfast on Monday at 7:30 AM
