Jan. 31 - Supplies Needed
We are so excited about what God is doing through the Americans. Thank you so much for thinking of us. You have asked what specific needs we have at this time. Tarps, mosquito nets, and mosquito repellant are a great need in all areas. Food items: rice, beans, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, macaroni & cheese, oatmeal, peanut butter, koolaid, etc... Diesel is the fuel that is needed to run our vehicle and our generator. We also could use some hygiene products: toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, lotion, deodorant, shampoo, etc... Laundry soap & dish soap are also a need. Cash is also needed for payroll and other daily needs. We are not asking for all of this. Please do as you can and as the Lord leads. May God bless you!
The El Shaddai Orphanage is run by Marie Prinvil. Marie is Haitian but lived in Jacksonville, FL with her family when she felt like God was telling her to go back to Haiti. She went back to Haiti and began taking in children with a very specific goal in mind. Marie does not adopt her children out. Instead, she teaches them and raises them to become strong Christians and good leaders for Haiti. She wants them to be the future of the country.
El Shaddai is not associated with any specific group. Those of us who have met Marie and worked with Marie have seen her heart and have fallen in love with her and her kids. Each team that goes is another contact for her....a contact that can help support her through prayers or donations.
Marie's work and love goes beyond the walls of the orphanage. I have watched her share her food with the neighborhood and those in need even if it's the last bit of food she has. She always trusts that God will provide for her and He has been faithful.
When we go to Haiti we will primarily work with Marie at El Shaddai but if she knows of others who have greater needs she will send us to help them while we are there. I love her heart!
If you are interested in going to Haiti or have a team together and just don't know where to go in Haiti then please fill out the contact form and let us know the dates you are available and we will put your team down. If you are looking for a team to join and we don't have anything listed, let us know your dates and we will create a team and find people to go with you to create a team.
