For people looking immediately to volunteer, the Women's Shelter of Rutland needs immediate assistance with donations:

We would gladly accept non-perishable items, but also can take smaller amounts of refrigerated items (we have three household size fridges), we also have lots of freezer space and can take frozen foods or meats to freeze. A common request is also for baby food, formula, diapers, and wipes and we expect a growing number of requests for these products, as well as toilet paper, garbage bags, and paper towels. We can also take donations of cleaning products, and toiletries.

If you could pass along to your collection group volunteers this information we would gladly help distribute it to those in need. Donations could be dropped off M-F 8:30-4, or they could call 775-6788 to make arrangements for a different time if those hours for drop off would not work for them. They also need help distributing and collecting these items.
